Laila (born October 24, 1980) is an Indian actress. He has acted in films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. She is known for her award-winning and critically acclaimed performances in films directed by Bala Nandha (2001) and Pithamagan (2003), and commercial blockbusters Parthen Rasithen (2000), Dheena (2001), Dhill (2001), Alli Thandha Vaanam (2001), Unnai Ninaithu (2002), Ullam Ketkume (2005) and Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005).
Laila (actress) Career
He made his debut in the Telugu film Egire Paavurama (1996), directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. Laila began receiving offers from prominent directors to appear in Tamil films and rejected films such as Dharma Chakkaram and Kadhal Palli by K. S. Ravikumar and Pavithran, respectively. He subsequently signed up to appear in the lead role in VIP after Pooja Kumar had left the project. However, Laila was not impressed when the producer asked her to consider changing her artistic name to Pooja, since the invitations for the film had already been printed and, in addition, she revealed that she did not know that Rambha was also a hero in the film. Later, Laila left the project, wanting to make her debut in Tamil in a movie where she played the only heroine.
Laila, based in Mumbai, worked with Ajith in Dheena and Parthen Rasithen with Prashanth.Then came Dhill and Pithamagan with Vikram. In the middle, Laila took a break and returned to Mumbai. However, she returned to Kollywood with a big bang. His role in the movie Ullam Ketkumae won praise from the masses. She was one of the successful Tamil actresses for a short time.
Laila has returned to the Tamil entertainment industry. She appeared for the first time in a commercial of flavoured prepared milk (Aachi Badam Milk) after her sabbatical in 2018. She will appear as a judge for the DJD Juniors dance show in Zee Tamil with actresses Sudha Chandran and Sneha.

He married Mehdi, an Iranian businessman, on January 6, 2006. He dated him for eight years before marriage.  According to Laila, they were engaged for four years before marriage. The couple has two children, 6 and 8 years old. She is Goa, but she speaks Tamil, English, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and French at home and is Roman Catholic.
